Fieldwork supports people experiencing chronic tension, nervous system overload, recurring pain patterns and movement restriction through fascia-focused bodywork and neuromuscular regulation.

Common Patterns & Symptoms

Working with the body’s fascia and nervous system to release chronic tension patterns and support nervous system regulation.

For bodies that keep returning to pain, tension, bracing or overwhelm.

Pain, tension or restriction that keeps returning

A lower back that tightens again.

Hips or shoulders that feel held.

Jaw or neck tension that builds.

Sciatic or injury patterns that linger.

A body that keeps compensating.

Stress, overwhelm or emotional load showing up in the body

Exhausted, but unable to switch off.

A system that feels easily stirred.

Clenching, bracing or holding on.

Overwhelm felt through the body.

Stress affecting sleep, pain or energy.

The body adapts to stress, injury and overload over time.

Protective patterns can continue long after the original stress, injury or overload has passed. Over time, these patterns may influence movement, posture, breathing, nervous system regulation and the way tension is carried throughout the body.

Releasing what the body has learned to hold.

How Fieldwork Can Support You

The Fieldwork Method draws on osteopathic philosophy, neuromuscular science, fascial mechanics, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shiatsu, along with lymphatic and fluid dynamics and biotensegrity models of the body.

It continues to evolve through clinical observation and neuroscience, recognising how subconscious patterns, memory and emotional experience influence the nervous system and the way tension is organised within the body.

Book a Fieldwork Session

Chronic pain and persistent muscular tension including back, neck, hip or pelvic discomfort

Recovery from injury and compensation patterns, where the body has adapted to protect an injured area

Nervous system dysregulation, including stress overload, burnout, anxiety or difficulty relaxing

Hormonal and fatigue-related imbalance, where ongoing stress or tension affects the body’s regulatory systems

Restricted mobility or stiffness, when fascial tension limits natural movement

Physical and emotional patterns held within the body, including long-standing tension related to stress or past experiences

The Five Pathways

1. Structural Integration

The body is organised through a network of fascia, muscles, joints and connective tissues. Restrictions within this system can influence movement, posture and tension patterns throughout the body.

2. Neurological Regulation

The nervous system regulates muscle tone, stress responses and internal balance. Supporting neuromuscular signalling and autonomic regulation helps the body shift out of protective tension states.

3. Energy Pathways

Traditional systems such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shiatsu recognise communication pathways throughout the body known as meridians. These pathways reflect patterns of connection that can influence overall balance.

4. Fluid and Circulatory Dynamics

Healthy movement of lymphatic and circulatory fluids supports tissue health and the body’s internal environment.

5. Mind–Body Patterning

Experiences of stress, trauma, thought patterns and memory can influence the nervous system and the way tension is organised within the body. Addressing these patterns supports both physical and emotional regulation.

Treatment Information and Guidance

Nicole is a certified practitioner based in the southern Adelaide region whose work focuses on the relationship between fascia, neuromuscular signalling, and nervous system regulation. Her approach recognises how patterns of injury, stress, and subconscious experience can become organised within the body over time.

I wasn’t sure if what I was feeling was physical or stress-related. Nicole helped me understand the pattern in my body without making it feel complicated.
